Subject:Acres Bed and Breakfast, Minard
A home from home with spectacular views over Dingle Bay, Minard Castle and Acres Mountain, with beautiful and tastefully decorated bedrooms en-suites and lounge. Our hosts Martin and Paula could not have been more hospitable or patient with helpful suggestions for visits to Annauscaul Lake, The Connor Pass, Acres Mountain, Kinmere, and the Pole at Annascaul . Ted their dog was tirelessly patient and playful entertaining both adults and children alike. Breakfast was fabulous with fruit Salad, cereals, Full Irish Cooked Breakfast, Toast, Soda Bread, Cake and Shortbread more than enough to set one up for a full days sight seeing. The offer to dry our Clothes after a wet hike up the neighbouring Acres Mountain and hot soup was typical of Paula and Martin's attentiveness to their guests and that magical extra something which crowned our Irish Holiday. We are missing Minard, The Fuchsia Hedges, and Sea Views already and look forward to returning shortly. In summary undoubtedly the best B&B in the Dingle Peninsular, no, correction, in the whole of Ireland! See for yourself.

Subject:Our stay at the Acres
It was our first trip to Ireland and we were very fortunate to stay at the Acres B&B. Paula and Martin were very hospitable and we felt welcome. The Acres is a nice place to relax and to enjoy the nature. The service was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. The walk from the B&B to the beach and Minard Castle are only a few minutes. We are sure to come back to the Acres B&B. Thank you for all.

We stayed for one night last summer and found the Acres to be excellent value for money. The room had a quality which we were not expecting from a B&B. The surrounding scerery is dramatic and beautiful and is great for walks. The place feels almost like an undiscovered treasure. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, when we left we felt very satisfied with our stay and with the generous breakfast that was provided.

The Acres is literally in the shadow of Minard Castle. It has only been in operation as a B&B for a year, but the house is very well suited for guests. They have both spacious family rooms or cozy rooms all beautifully decorated. Their breakfast was delicious and the variety was fantastic. The views are spectacular and the beautiful sea is just a few yards away. Busy An Daingean is just a few miles west, but you'd never know it at this wonderful retreat. Our hosts, Paula and Martin Taylor, and Ted, their dog, made us feel as though we were visiting old friends. This was definitely our favorite B&B of the whole trip. Thank you so much.

Our stay at the Acres was a wonderful finish to a wonderful holiday in Ireland. We were nothing but amazed by the most beautiful rooms, the most delicious breakfast, the scenic setting and above all Paula's and Martin's hospitality (strongly supported by the Ted, the dog ;-) ) Thank you again for making leaving Ireland harder, but coming back a must ;-) Ronny and Freddy

Paula and Martin's welcome and B&B will take some beating. A definite "must return" a definite "will return". The whole of the Dingle peninsular is a scenic picture box so a hire car is an absolute must have. Loads of good eating places, loads of smoke free pubs where the "black stuff" is amazing. If you go anywhere go here - highly recommended.

The hospitality was excellent. A lovely location and house; a superb breakfast and a lift all the way from the South Pole! One of the best B&Bs of our walk around the Dingle Way. Roger Baker.

We had a fantastic stay at The Acres B&B whilst travelling around Ireland. The hosts were the most hospitable we met on our whole tour. The rooms were clean, tidy, modern, spacious and extremely comfortable. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful with a kind option for dinner too! And nearby, the local pub at Annascaul was great for its traditional food, drink and local history. Some really pleasant sites & scenes to take in at this locality - a truly beautiful area - a super spot in deepest rural Ireland, a little off the beaten track but thats the key! Thanks!

A big thank you to you both for a great night`s stopover on Sunday 4th June. You have a lovely place,in a beautiful spot. Room`s ,Bed & Breakfast Excellent! Excellent stopover just off the Dingle Way Path(300m),approx.5.5 kms from Annascaul Village (allow 1-1.5 hours following the Dingle way country lane route). walkers doing the Camp to Annascaul leg(17kms)-you can afford to take your time, stopping at Inch Strand for a light lunch/rest stop before going on to Annascaul. suggest stopping at Annascaul Village for an evening meal(South Pole Inn)before then making your way onto "The minard Castle stands.

We were incredibly lucky to find Martin and Paula's B and B The Acres a few km and a world away from the crowds and traffic of Dingle town. The rooms were large, nicely decorated, with a great(large) bath and the best B and B breakfast in our 2 weeks including a delicious fresh fruit salad. It was a peaceful setting with the great Minard Castle a brief walk down the road (no tour buses) and the view from the house to "the Acres" hillside opposite, truly beautiful. A short ride ca. 2-3 km to the South Pole pub in Anascoul was rewarded by a local, rather than tourist scene. We would have stayed several days if we'd known about this place.
